A craft New Zealand rum distilled from 100% blackstrap molasses and aged briefly in ex‑Pinot Noir barrels for a smooth, fruit‑ and spice‑inflected character.
Three Moons Rum is the inaugural release of Bayside Rum Co. The rum begins with blackstrap molasses fermented using a Kūmara‑based starter, then twice‑distilled in a New Zealand‑made pot still. The fresh distillate shows bright, fresh‑fruit aromas of golden kiwifruit, honey, pear and citrus. After a three‑month rest in ex‑Pinot Noir wine barrels the spirit develops additional depth with notes of cooked red fruit, warming Christmas spice and a subtle hint of apple cider‑vinegar tang. The 42% ABV rum combines tropical sweetness, aromatic warmth and barrel‑aged complexity in a distinctly Kiwi style.
