Broken Heart Single Malt Whisky is a small-batch release aged for over six years in a combination of charred ex-bourbon and ex-spiced rum casks. This careful ageing process delivers a richly layered flavour profile with bold character and depth.
The whisky opens with charming notes of toffee, sticky date pudding and crème brûlée, leading to a soft, buttery biscuit finish. The nose reveals aromas of candied ginger, sun-dried raisins, fruitcake and poached pear.
Flavour notes from the bourbon barrels include charred oak, vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb and orange marmalade, while the spiced rum casks add hints of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg and stone fruit. The result is a mellow, malty and smooth single malt with a long, silky finish.
