Central Otago Gin is a limited edition, small‑batch spirit crafted by Elsewhere Gin in Christchurch. It features wild‑foraged thyme, matagouri blossoms and briar rose, steeped three times, enriched with Pinot Noir grapes from Bannockburn that are macerated in spirit and aged for a year, enhanced by the flintiness of schist rock to evoke the rugged alpine character of Central Otago. Each bottle (one of only 300 produced in 2024) is steeped in personal meaning: a tribute “for Andy,” inspired by the winemaking legacy of the distiller’s late brother.
