Barrel Aged Negroni - 2023 Limited Edition from Hastings Distillers is a deeply flavoured and sophisticated aperitif created by ageing their signature Negroni blend (organic gin, L’Opera Bitter Orange Aperitif and Rubis Rouge Sweet Vermouth) in bespoke 300 L French oak barrels for 18 months. The oak influence transforms fresh citrus and orange into marmalade and candied peel, while juniper and vermouth add dried herb, red berry and dark chocolate depth. The result is a harmoniously balanced spirit with toffee, mocha and char notes, a softened mouthfeel and a lingering, bittersweet finish. Only 1100 bottles of this limited release were produced.
