Island Gin is a solar‑powered, off‑grid distillery nestled on Great Barrier Island, crafting award‑winning gins in sustainable, reclaimed‑glass bottles.

Situated on remote Great Barrier Island, Island Gin operates entirely off the grid, powered by solar energy. Distilled in a bespoke copper pot column still, its Original Island Gin blends organically certified Macedonian juniper with locally harvested manuka honey and a total of eleven unique botanicals sourced from across New Zealand. The distillery bottlings are housed in Kina‑inspired glass bottles made from reclaimed NZ glass. Island Gin has claimed numerous international awards, including Best London Dry in NZ, Double Gold at the World Spirits Competition, and Platinum at the NZ Spirits Awards. Visitors can book small‑group tastings by appointment in summer, exploring the eco‑friendly distillery and its solar‑powered bottling line.
