Juno Jean Gin celebrates Jean Sandel, a pioneering surgeon who made significant contributions to cardiovascular surgery and Māori health and encouraged women to pursue further academic study. She led the surgical department at Taranaki Base Hospital and became an important figure in the local community.
The gin draws inspiration from summer on the green, reflecting Sandel's fondness for watching cricket at Pukekura Park. Its botanical profile combines the richness of orange with a hint of red clover, creating a bright seasonal character while retaining Juno's craft gin style.
Produced by Juno Distillery in New Plymouth, Jean Gin is bottled at 44% ABV. Juno uses pure New Zealand mountain water and fresh, hand-selected botanicals in its spirits
