Juno Styx is a limited-release New Zealand barrel-aged gin matured in a refurbished French oak port barrel, combining bright juniper with classic spice and a rich toffee finish.
Juno Styx Barrel-Aged Gin is the fourth limited Styx release from Juno Spirits in New Plymouth. Named after Styx, the mythical river forming the boundary between Earth and the Underworld, this expression explores the additional flavour and complexity created through barrel maturation.
The gin is aged in a refurbished French oak port barrel, bringing oak and previous port influence to Juno's botanical spirit. Bright juniper remains a distinctive part of the profile, developing into classic warming spice and rich toffee notes on the finish.
Juno produces its spirits using pure New Zealand mountain water and fresh, hand-selected botanicals, with distillation taking place in a copper still at its New Plymouth distillery.
