Southward Guajillo Chilli Gin from Southward Distilling Co. takes a slightly different approach, adding a gentle warmth rather than going all in on spice. It is still very much a gin at its core, with juniper leading the way and a mix of citrus and botanicals keeping things fresh and balanced.
The chilli sits in the background and comes through more as a soft warmth than heat. It builds slowly rather than hitting straight away, which gives the gin a bit of depth without making it challenging to drink. It is noticeable, but not overpowering.
