Southward RWNZ Gin

A limited release New Zealand craft gin created with Rural Women New Zealand, featuring floral rose, citrus notes, and a colour-changing botanical blend.

Southward RWNZ Centennial Gin is a limited release New Zealand craft gin created by Southward Distilling Co. in collaboration with Rural Women New Zealand to mark the organisation’s 100-year milestone from 1925 to 2025.

This small-batch gin was developed through a hands-on process, with members of Rural Women New Zealand working alongside the distillery to shape the flavour, colour, and overall style. The result is a gin that reflects both the story and values of the organisation, rather than a standard release.

The flavour profile centres around rose, supported by bright citrus notes and a balanced botanical base. The floral character is inspired by the official Rural Women NZ Centennial Rose, bringing a sense of softness alongside structure. Butterfly pea flower is used to create the gin’s distinctive blue colour, which can shift to pink, referencing the centennial celebrations.

Crafted using Southward Distilling’s small-batch approach, this New Zealand gin combines traditional techniques with a more expressive style. It is designed to be smooth and versatile, suitable for a range of serves while still carrying a clear identity.
