Awildian Gin is a boutique Coromandel-based distillery founded by scientists Paul Schneider and Daniela Suess, crafting internationally-awarded micro-batch gins using locally foraged botanicals and spring-fed water.

Founded by scientists turned distillers, Awildian Gin began as an experiment in mānuka honey mead before evolving into an artisanal distillery in Thames. Using spring water sourced from Atuatumoe/Sleeping God Canyon in Kauaeranga Valley and local Coromandel botanicals - supplemented by exotic ingredients when needed - it produces award-winning small-batch gins from a custom 150 L Carl still. Free from artificial colourants and sweeteners and committed to environmental stewardship (1% for the Planet), the distillery’s core range includes Coromandel Dry, Spiced, Mānuka, Damson, and Blue Edition, each reflecting precise botanical artistry. A cellar door at their Thames location offers complimentary tastings of core and rare releases
