Lake Maree Single Malt Whisky is Herrick Creek Distillery’s largest and most complex whisky to date. Crafted entirely in Christchurch from 100% Canterbury grain, the mash bill includes 33% peat-smoked and 66% unsmoked malted barley, producing a gentle, hidden smokiness that emerges in waves.
The whisky was initially aged in a 200L ex-bourbon barrel, then finished across three additional American oak casks - ex-corn whisky with coffee beans, new oak, and ex-maple syrup/corn whisky - resulting in layered notes of vanilla, charred oak, spice, and subtle maple sweetness.
