Pōkeno Sauvignon Blanc Cask is an innovative New Zealand single malt whisky matured in a barrel previously used for Sauvignon Blanc wine, creating vibrant citrus and tropical fruit notes.
This special single cask expression celebrates a creative collaboration with The Hunting Lodge Winery: in 2020, Pōkeno Whisky lent a bourbon barrel to age Sauvignon Blanc, then refilled it with new make spirit in 2021 for full maturation. The result is a unique whisky where rich, crisp Sauvignon Blanc influence combines with classic citrus character from Pōkeno’s single malt. On the nose, expect bright and zesty citrus; on the palate, tropical fruit bursts with sweet vanilla bean through to a long, expressive finish.
