Wilderkin Spirits

Wilderkin Spirits was born from founder Jonathan Clare’s passion for brewing, gardening, and mixology. After living in the USA and developing a love for flavour experimentation, he brought home a custom still from Colorado, beginning his distilling journey in the coastal town of Waihi Beach.

Now producing a line of three distinct vodkas - original, chilli-infused, and honey-infused - Wilderkin focuses on small-batch, hand-crafted production. Locally grown chillies and honey from nearby Katikati reflect the distillery’s deep connection to its surroundings.

Nestled between the Bay of Plenty and Coromandel, Waihi Beach’s laid-back, nature-rich environment mirrors the brand’s ethos: relaxed, adventurous, and social. Wilderkin prides itself on using only the cleanest ingredients, including local spring water and organic sugar, ensuring purity in every bottle.
